Had an awesome time at PubCon last week catching up with many old friends. I found it pretty cool to hang out with some of the same folks I hung out with at my very first conference back in 2000! Read More >> Related Forum Posts >>

I'm looking forward to PubCon next week. I'm not much of a gambler, but Vegas is still cool to visit now and then. And catching up with old friends makes it all the better. If you're at the conference, please try to come up and say hi! I love meeting newsletter subscribers. Read More >> Related Forum Posts >>

I have a busy schedule over the next few weeks. Along with our typical client consulting, we have our October SEO training class on Friday, then next week is our SEO Lunch and Learn, and the week after that is PubCon in Vegas. I have to say, it will be nice talking SEO in person for awhile instead of just here, on the forum and on Twitter!

We had an enjoyable 4th of July weekend on our cruise to St. John's, Canada. The cruise itself was okay, but when you're not big eaters or gamblers, there's not a whole heck of a lot to do! The good part was having the time to just hang out with the family. Read More >> Related Forum Posts >>

Last week's Search Engine Strategies conference in NYC went really well. The organic SEO session that I spoke at had some interesting questions posed by audience members. I even broke my no-party rule and checked out MSN's party at Slate. It was surprisingly fun for 2 reasons: 1) it wasn't too loud, and 2) they had ping-pong tables! Between going live with the new site, uploading old newsletters (still many to go), creating redirects, and documenting how Google is indexing the whole thing, I did get away with the family for a few days to Florida. We had a nice, relaxing time, especially the full day I got to sit by the pool with my laptop. Now that's my idea of fun! The hotel had great poolside service for food and drinks, and that made things even nicer. Corie would have liked someone to go to the beach with her, but the rest of us aren't really into that, unfortunately. Read More >> Related Forum Posts >>
